Our Thoughts about Laura and Kristin

"We didn't know Marin very well when we started looking for a house. Not only did Kristin and Laura help us find a wonderful home, they found us our dentist, landscaper, preschool, and the list goes on. We found that we could really trust their advice on many things, and they have both become friends to our family. We only wish we could see them as much as we did when we were house hunting. (Well-maybe not that much.) We appreciated the fact that Laura and Kristin are both Marin natives. They were appropriately candid about different towns and neighborhoods. They did a great job getting to know us so that they could find a house and a neighborhood that felt like home to us. After we moved into the house, Laura was the first to visit. She brought a gift---a book about Marin hiking trails--now one of our favorites. Even though we didn't know many people in Marin, we felt very comfortable here after spend ing time with Laura and Kristin. We liked working with a team approach. Dear Kristin and Laura,

In 2003, after renting in Tiburon for a year, we decided to buy a house in Marin. We knew we wanted to live in Mill Valley, but we had no idea how diverse its neighborhoods could be. Kristin and Laura not only told us about each neighborhood, but drove us endless miles to show us their differences, sometimes even to the same one to show us the light and activity at different times of the day. Never once did they complain; they always made it seem like it was a treat for them. After the first few trips, they had assessed our preferences and needs, even uncovering some new ones, and "got" what we wanted immediately. What made us feel most at ease was their patience; they never pressured us into a particular neighborhood, house, or sale. At one point Kristin said, "If it takes a year or more to find what you want, that's okay," which won her a client for life. Soon afterward, we found a home and were faced with the difficult task of bidding in such a competitive market. Knowing how stressful this could be, Kristin and Laura took the time to explain the process, discuss strategies, ease our anxiety, and to prepare our bid with both an eye to getting the house and to our financial situation and comfort level. They made the whole process manageable and always respected and prioritized our wishes. We cannot recommend them enough!
